Everything On The Internet Is True
Premier at PACT Zollverein - Atelier. April 2017
In concert with the events in a sister-work appearing the same time in a different location, Everything on the Internet Is True is an exhibition of [misguided] expressions of [lacking or inflated] (self) love and how those expressions can become externally oppressive and internally aggressive, as represented on the internet and as observed by the authors. The viewer is free to choose the content that he or she wishes to view privately on their own mobile device, although since the topics are unnamed and the url’s displayed require concentration and dedication to pursue, a certain measure of satisfaction is left to chance, persistence, and endurance.
